Jon Kim

Jon Kim

Jon is a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer and also has his ACE certification. He grew up playing any and every sport possible. Jon mainly enjoyed and did his best in football, wrestling, basketball, and various forms of martial arts. He grew up in Marietta GA but finished out his high school at Oak Ridge Military Academy (1999) and college at Appalachian State University in North Carolina (2004). After moving back home to start a career Jon also ended up reaching the heaviest weight he had ever been (250lbs) and made a conscience effort to get back into shape. He stuck to his learned fitness program of lifting (varying load and reps), working core, and finishing up with some sort of cardio. He was able to lose weight, get stronger, and enjoyed exercise and how it made him feel. This also made him want to help others experience the same which opened an opportunity for Jon to get his ACE certification and work at a local gym.

After some time his fitness program plateaued and he began to lose interest in the traditional method and sought out new programming which lead Jon to CrossFit 120. Needless to say his 1st experience was a humbling one and he was hooked from the start. Something about not being able to perform certain movements/standards made him want to learn and improve, to become a better athlete. This also led Jon to get his Level 1, which in his opinion was worth every penny and was very eye-opening. Now he enjoys coaching the members at CF120 and competing with fellow co-athletes.

Kate Brun

Kate Brun

Kate is a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, and has her specialty certifications in CrossFit Endurance, Mobility, and Kids. She also holds certifications in Freestyle Movement, Power Monkey Gymnastics, and USAW Level 1.

Kate played a variety of sports growing up and fell in love with long distance running at the age of 15. She has raced all distances on the track, roads, and trails from 800 M to 100 miles. After many years of running 80 - 100 miles per week, she suffered from burnout and many overuse injuries. She knew that she needed to change it up and find a new challenge. With some hesitation, she visited her friends box and couldn't believe that an 8 minute workout could be so challenging and yield results. From that day on she was hooked and motivated to work on her weaknesses and become a well-rounded, healthy athlete.

She loves sharing her passion for the sport and healthy lifestyle to others. Nothing makes her happier than seeing athletes working hard, having fun, and accomplishing their goals. Aside from the gym, Kate enjoys doing anything outside especially running / hiking on the trails and loves to travel and explore new places!

Sarah Bryan

She has been an endurance athlete for 95% of her life, and after a six month physically demanding backpacking trip, she decided it was time to get stronger. The challenge of finding physical strength alone was huge and CrossFit was a pivotal part of it for her. Finding a community to bleed, sweat, cry, and laugh with every day wasn't easy to come by. Sarah knew that she wanted to make something more of this passion, so six months later she completed the USAW sports performance course, CrossFit L1 training course, CSCS and became a nutritionist. Seeing people grow day in and day out is the reason she pursued coaching. This has pushed her to be the best athlete and best person she can be...what could be better than that?! When not coaching or teaching you can find Sarah cycling, lifting, doing a tough metcon, on Buford Highway eating Asian food, or buying unnecessary shoes.

Christine Lee

Christine Lee

Christine is a CrossFit Level 1 trainer, CrossFit Mobility certified, and CPR/AED certified. Prior to CrossFit she was a record holder on the Georgia Tech Swim Team. During her summers off, she discovered her love of teaching by coaching her summer swim team. Once her swimming career came to an inevitable end, she was searching for her next big passion.

She started CrossFit in 2011 when her husband invited her for a free trial class. Helen was the WOD and her husband (then boyfriend) had already been CrossFitting for 6 months. As a recently retired Division 1 butterflier, pullups were her specialty, and competitiveness was in her blood, she beat him by 2 seconds and fell in love with CrossFit. Since starting, she has competed as an individual Southeast Regional athlete (2014), and owned/head coached/loved/sold a CrossFit gym in Smyrna in favor of spending more time with her family and new baby, Mikayla.

Outside of CrossFit Christine loves being active (hiking, recreational volleyball, obstacle course racing, etc) and spending time with her family and friends.
